If you're a capped energy customer, and you've used less energy than predicted, you'll get a refund at the end of your contract.
Whether or not you get a refund depends on how much energy you used during your contract, and how much you were charged. If you paid for more energy than you used, you'll get a refund.
Most accounts get a refund, but there are lots of reasons that you might not.
It usually takes 8-12 weeks after your account is closed to get a final balance from suppliers, sometimes longer, so you'll get any refund after this date.
If we need to dispute a bill on your behalf, or if suppliers don't send all the bills, it can take longer.
You'll hear from our Customer Support team to let you know your final balance, and you'll get any refund, or info about additional payments you need to make.
Unlimited Energy customers don't have usage allowances, so don't get extra charges, or refunds, because there are no limits to go over or stay under.
