My broadband seems slow. What do I do?

There are a few reasons your broadband might be slower than usual. Here are a few common ones:

  • There are too many devices connected to your Wi-Fi. Every time you connect a new device, you take a chunk of your bandwidth and can eventually slow your connection.
  • Your router is not in the best place and the signal is being blocked by walls, furniture, or even the tiles on the wall.
    • If you have a large house and the problem only occurs far away from the router, a broadband booster can help
  • Your router needs to be restarted.

Here's what to do for each broadband provider:

  • Cuckoo Broadband: Contact our Customer Service team
  • Virgin Media Broadband: Contact our Customer Service team for your account details. Then you can contact Virgin Media directly for trouble shooting.
  • Sky Broadband: Contact the Sky Business department for trouble shooting on 0844 241 1611. FYI: This number charges a premium rate. When they answer, check that you're speaking to the Business Department and then give your property address. You won't need any other details.
