This depends whether you choose an Unlimited Energy package, or a capped energy package.
Regardless of the type of package you choose, we'll calculate your estimated usage based on the number of people living in your home.
Capped Energy customers
A capped energy package is priced based on the number of people living in your home. If you use less energy than predicted, you'll get a refund at the end of your contract. If you use more energy than predicted, you'll need to pay the difference.
Unlimited Energy customers
Even though an Unlimited Energy package has no limits (obvs), the price you pay is still based on how many people live in your home.
BUT you'll never pay more based on your actual usage. If you used way over the estimate, you'd still pay the price you're quoted, and you don't get a final account balance, because there are no limits for you to go over or under.
The only time you'd be charged more for Unlimited Energy is if it turned out you were using energy for commercial purposes, or if more people are living in the property than you included on your package.
