One Utility Bill energy quotes are based on the size of your home in square meters, and the number of people living there.
Your quote will take into account:
- The size of your home in square meters
- The average energy use for the number of people you live with
This applies to both capped and Unlimited Energy bills packages.
It makes sense that more people = more energy use and therefore higher prices.
However, most of the energy we use at home goes on heating, which means the size of your property makes a BIG difference to the energy you use, so we take that into account to make things fairer. Big spaces cost more to heat than small ones.
Let's give some rough examples:
- Four people living in a 90-square-metre home pay less than four people living in a 110 square meter home.
- One person living in an 80-square-meter home will pay less than two people living in the same space.
