The cost of your services for the length of your contract is divided by the number of calendar months in your contract.
FYI: All the prices in this article are made up for illustrative purposes.
This is the formula we use:
Price of Services / 7 (days in the week) X 365 (contract length in days) / 12 (contract length in months)
= Your monthly payment. e.g. £156.62 per month.
After we've done this calculation, your payments cover months that are 4 and 5 weeks long, to keep your payments consistent.
This amount can change if your chosen utility provider adjusts the price of their services part way through your contract. You'll always get 30 days' notice if this is the case.
How would a supplier price change affect my prices?
A new monthly payment would be calculated by the team to cover the new cost of your chosen services for the time left in your contract.
Example:
If the cost of Service A increased by £25 after you’ve made 4 out of 12 monthly payments, you’d have 8 payments left to go.
- The £25 increase would be divided by 8 to give us £3.13.
- Your 8 remaining monthly payments would go up by £3.13.
Original payment £156.62
Future payments £159.75
