How do I top up my prepayment electric meter?

Regardless of your meter type, you'll get an email from the Fused team that tells you:

• What type of electric meter you have

• Where you need to go to top up

If you have a traditional pre-payment electric meter:

• Check your emails for an RTI code from the One Utility Bill team

  • This is a seven-digit reference number specific to your meter.

• Check the post at your new address for a meter key from the One Utility Bill team.

  • If you don't have this, get in touch ASAP.

• Find your closest PayZone

  • Note: Click cancel if the link above asks for a login! You don't need one.

  • Make sure you head to a PayZone with the PayZone symbol like this:

• Take your meter card or key to the PayZone

  • You'll need your RTI number too so make sure you have it handy.

• Tell Payzone staff you need to:

  • Register your new key card with your RTI number

  • Top up your electric meter.

  • 🚨Make sure you get a receipt!

• Take a picture of the receipt and upload to your dashboard for a full refund within 3-5 working days.

If you have a smart pre-payment meter:

• Check your emails for information from the One Utility Bill team on how to top up online or via an app

• Remember, you get a full refund for every top up, so make sure you get a receipt/proof of purchase every time
