Can I get full-fibre broadband from One Utility Bill?

Yep! There are FTTP (Fibre to the Property) broadband options from Virgin Media, and SoGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) from Sky available in your One Utility Bill package.

FTTP is the fastest type of broadband. Fibre broadband cables (the thing that makes fibre broadband fast) connect directly to your property, so you get the fastest speeds from the network. This is why it's sometimes called full-fibre broadband.

SoGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) is a Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) connection. It's different from a standard FTTC connection, thanks to improved technology that supports Wi-Fi 6, a better standard of Wi-Fi connection! SoGEA offers a fibre broadband connection without using landline at your address, offering fast broadband, but not quite as fast as FTTP.

What's the difference between FTTC and FTTP?

FTTP connects fibre cables directly to the landline at your property.

FTTC connects fibre cables to the cabinet near your address, the green boxes you see in the street. From there, a slower, copper cable connects to the landline.

A SoGEA connection uses the FTTC cables, but connects to your property without the need for the landline!
