At the moment, Notify can’t inform suppliers about properties linked to business meters because they often require a different notification process.
We're working on making this easier, but for now, these will need to be handled outside of Notify.

British Gas Business
British Gas Business doesn't accept information from third parties. You’ll need to provide proof that the tenants are domestic and include their financial details to set up or switch rates.
Steps:
- Go to British Gas Business here
- Use the live chat option to inquire about moving home and specify that it is a domestic property.
British Gas Evolve (BGE)
BGE doesn’t accept change of tenancies from third parties. Your tenant will need to contact them directly via live chat. Unfortunately, there’s no other option available at this time.
Steps for tenants:
- Go to British Gas here
- Select “My account number begins with A or BGX”
- A live chat box will appear in the bottom right corner. Start a conversation about moving home.
OR - Click “Moving home”
- Choose either “New customer” or “Existing customer”
- Existing customer: Sign in to their account
- New customer: Complete the online form with:
- Move-in date and information about the new home
- Bank details
- Meter readings (if applicable)
So Energy
So Energy doesn’t accept information from third parties. Your tenant will need to use their online form to set up the account.
Steps for tenants:
- Go to So Energy here
- Click “Moving in”
- Fill out the form with:
- Name
- Email address
- Property address
- Opening meter readings
- The form will ask if they want to stay with So Energy. Choose from:
- Yes
- No (A temporary account will be created to cover usage until they switch suppliers)
- Undecided
- At the end of the form, no matter what they answered before, tenants will see this message:
- “When we set up your account, you’ll be on our variable rate tariff. You’ll receive instruction via email on how to set up your online account where you can renew onto our fixed rate tariffs.”
Yu Energy
You will need to fill out an online form and provide a Letter of Authority (LOA) along with proof that tenants are domestic.
Steps:
- Go to Yu Energy’s Change of Tenancy form here
- Fill in the form with the following info:
- Address details: Both your new and previous addresses
- Meter details: If available
- Change of tenancy date
- Contact details
- Billing address: Important communications may be sent here, so please make sure it's correct.
- Lease / completion of sale documents: This is mandatory
- Form of identification: Passport, driving license, or any valid ID
- Insurance documents
- Business rates: Provide an invoice, previous bill, or similar documentation
Fuse Energy
There isn't much support information available on Fuse Energy’s website right now. The best ways to reach them are:
- Email: support@fuseenergy.com
- Fuse Energy app: Use the chat support feature
SSE (Prepayment)
Currently, there is no way for a third party to inform SSE directly, as SSE has been transferred to OVO. OVO requests that tenants contact them directly.
Steps:
- Notify will handle the initial notification to OVO.
- If a Prepayment Meter (PPM) is identified, OVO will ask the tenant to contact their pay-as-you-go department.
- A support ticket will be forwarded to our Customer & Partner Support team.
Total Gas and Power
As a business supplier, Total Gas and Power doesn’t accept notifications from third parties. You’ll need to complete an online form yourself.
Steps:

- Complete the online form with your business details
Valda Energy
As a business supplier, Valda Energy doesn’t have a way for third parties to inform them. You’ll need to complete an online form yourself.
Steps:
- Head to Valda Energy here
- Click “Moving in”
- Fill in the form with the following info:
- Company name
- Address
- Email address
- Meter reads
- Landlord details
- Supporting documents
They accept:- Lease Agreement
- Business Rates
- Land Registry Documentation or HM Land Registry Property Title Register Solicitor Letter
- Bank Statement
- Insurance Documents
- Business Registration Documents
SEFE
Right now, SEFE doesn’t offer a direct way to contact them for address changes. You can only request a quote from their website.

Economy Energy
There’s no way for a third party to contact Economy Energy. The tenant must reach out directly.
Steps for tenants:
