For Sky Broadband, an engineer is always needed to activate the lines at the property. You will receive your router before your engineer appointment. However, the engineer may not always need access to the inside of your property as some work can be carried out externally. On the day of your installation, if the engineer time slot has passed and you have not had contact with the engineer, plug your router in and you should have an active connection.
For Virgin Media an engineer will only be required if the property isn’t already wired for Virgin or if there is any damage to the sockets.
When you move into your property, be sure to check for any damage to any sockets and inform One Utility Bill as soon as possible. This will mean that we can let the providers know of any useful information when we place the order, which will not cause any delays to your order.
