What happens if I go over my usage?

If you have a capped energy deal, your payments are based on estimated usage. Here's what happens if you use more than that.

Meter readings let us know your actual energy usage, and that's what we'll pay to suppliers on your behalf.

If your meter readings show that you're using more than your estimate, you'll need to pay the difference. The sooner you know this the better, because the difference can add up over the course of your contract. If you know you're using more than your estimate (which is rare) we can adjust your payment so you don't end up in difficulties later.

If you use less than your allowance you'll get a refund at the end of your contract.

Unlimited Energy customers don't have any allowances, so don't need to worry about extra charges for their energy use.
