How do I know which water bill support I’m entitled to?

In England and Wales:

The Consumer Council for Water (CCW) is the independent consumer watchdog for England and Wales.

On their site you can:

• Calculate potential water meter savings
• Find out the financial support available from your water supplier
• Get other info to help with your water bills.

In Scotland:

There are two sources of info for water bill savings in Scotland:

• Scottish Government water and sewerage charges exemptions
• Scottish Water charges guide

Don’t forget that if you’re a student in Scotland with a council tax exemption, you don’t pay for water.
