Your water board will take them for you twice a year, but we'll need opening and closing readings so that your account details are accurate.
The water board's bi-annual readings might fall outside of your tenancy dates, so opening and closing water meter rates will make sure only the water you used is actually attributed to your account.
Some properties don't have water meters, so you don't need to worry about sending any readings.
